Holy crap! Color me stunned (and purple) when Prince hit the Kodak Theater stage tonight. Wow. The Prince performance capped a memorable (and pretty entertaining throughout) 2-hour Idol finale.

We saw Underwood a couple of times and a revised Clay Aiken sort of not wanting to be there but making a very funny segment, but no signs of Clarkson (no surprise), Studdard, Fantasia or Bob Ice.

And, oh yeah, Taylor Hicks is your American Idol.

5 points for the winner. And 5 bonus points for BW and Allison for correctly hitching onto Hicks back in week 5 of the Pool.
