Kady Didn't and Neither Did Luke, Asia'h and Danny

No group performance to open the show - refreshing. Rather, we get the return of Beat Box Blake to perform some average song that wouldn't have gotten him too far on last year's Idol. "Like a Tattoo" or "No Air" it is not. Paula's going with the Cookie look tonight (the hat). The state of music today? Paula's single is #1. Jeez, all this pussy-footing around placing people in the top 12, give us some blood! Haley Scarnato! Kady is the first "x" of the night. The teflon ChippenDavid is safe. Good thing Mark got in the supremely clutch "Captain John" Luke Menard gloss in this week, because Luke is gone now. Chikeize and Danny look thrilled to be forced to wait 15 minutes to learn their fate. You can't kill the Cloverfield monster! Kristy Lee yes, Epperson no. The Whitney curse strikes again. Chikeize seems like a good dude. And it pays off. Danny probably won't be getting any presents from Santa this Christmas.

X'ing Kady, Luke, Asia'h or Danny gets you 1 point each.

People be on fire this week! Congrats to Flood, Mark and MJ for batting 1.000!

Results Show: Week 3, Final 16

80's night and embarrassing moments? With recent revelations, this could get interesting! Menard gets things crackin' with a little Wham! reset. Liked it much better with George Michael. As did Simon - harsh!... Heavy Hitter + Phil Collins = "nice." I would have preferred "Against All Odds"... I imagine Noriega has a slew of embarrassing moments in his life, but "Tainted Love" was not one of them. And who pee'd in Simon's Coke tonight??... ChippenDavid's most embarrassing moment? Not what you might think... Haha, assault is so funny and embarrassing, Johns, who then goes out and assaults Simple Minds (not INXS, Randy)... The music is drowning out Cookie's vocals... How can you not like Castro? Jason, I mean, not Fidel, Raul or Juan... Eze knows bathroom humor is always funny... Onto the ladies -

Epherson gets things started with a Whitney song - why the Idolettes even try WH is beyond me - the judges, specifically Cowell, are always critical... Yay! Kady's up. Though the slow song and wooden delivery doesn't do her any favors : ( ... The Predator screams another one. FYI I saw Joan Jett in concert when I was in middle school... The tatted-up Smithson is pretty good (for a former professional singer)... Kristy Lee seems to be finding her niche... Oh man! Malubay snatches "Against All Odds" - and certainly doesn't take advantage of its epicness - disappointing... How about Brooke standing up at some point?... For some reason, Syesha reminds me of Scrubs' head nurse Carla Espinosa...

The guys bettered the girls this week. Now is the time to cast your vote on who you think will get the boot! Pick your 2 guy and 2 girl contestants who you think will be x'd this week by Thursday at 3:00 PM ET.

Hernandez is Your Private Dancer

We all know David Hernandez is sassy. So, too, does the "mostly male" clientele at Dick's Cabaret in Pheonix, where Hernandez "provacatively" (to put it nicely) danced up until September of 2007. Hopefully, Idol will feature a Tina Turner night and Hernandez will still be in the competition. I know just the song selection for him...

I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
Ill do what you want me to do

Will Hernandez face any consequence for his past life (a la Frenchie Davis) or will Idol enjoy the extra burst of buzz for the show (a la Antonella Barba)? Developing...

All I know, is that David will have a nickname for the results show post.
