No One Voted for Pedro, Alaina, AJ and Leslie

Do not doubt the strength of "Smooth" Sanjaya Malakar. If he can survive his eerily weird set from this week, just how unbeatable will he be if he can muster up a half-decent performance? Overall, none of this week's bootees is really that much of a surprise. Alaina proved her removal was merited by further butchering "Not Ready to Make Nice". I was a little surprised at Leslie's surprised reaction to the boot. Did she really think she had a chance against Phillippi's daughter? And Pickler? In the Pool, we have an early leader, and his name is Brett.

Congrats to Bryan on the birth of his child! I hope everyone is doing well.

Results Show #2

Heading into this week of Idol, two main storylines populated the media:

1. How much the guys stunk/girls ruled.

2. Antonella's real (and alleged) NSFW-ness.

No doubt the info re: Antonella fueled her haters' fire. But will it be enough (and her rather lackluster performance) to get the boot? Collectively, the girls had a pretty solid night. I was pleased that two of them decided to cover songs I like. However, one did great (Jordin) and one...not so much. Let's just say, I'm not ready to make nice with her.

The guys improved, I guess. But they couldn't get much lower than last week. The highlight here was Chris Richardson's Geek in the Pink performance. Nice to see Blake break out a little beatbox, too.
